Before we jump right in, I figured it'd be useful just to kind of refresh ourselves on the main parts that we're gonna need to flat tow our GMC down the road in the first place. So you're gonna have your base plate, which gives us an attachment point. That way we can hook our tow bar up to it. Hi there, Acadia owners, today on your 2019 GMC Acadia, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Falcon All-Terrain non-binding tow bar. There's five main components you'll need when flat towing your vehicle behind your motor home. You'll need your tow bar, which is the connection between your motor home and your vehicle. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point your tow bar is going to attach on your vehicle. You'll need your diode wiring, which is going to take all the lights on your motor home and transfer them to the lights at the back of your vehicle. You'll need your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, as well as your braking system, which will apply the brakes in our vehicle when we hit the brakes in our motor home.This is my personal favorite pick for the Acadia. more

RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar Installation - 2016 GMC Sierra 1500- Video

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar on our 2016 GMC Sierra 1500.Now our Falcon 2 Tow Bar is going to be designed to hook up into our motor home so we can safely flat tow our Sierra down the road. It's going to be what's connecting our motor home to the baseplate on our truck, so we have a solid connection point.Keep in mind this is only going to be one component for a complete, safe flat tow setup for your Sierra. For our Sierra, we're going to need a baseplate, a tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring, and a braking system. And specifically for our GMC Sierra, I do recommend getting a battery disconnect, because it is going to make it easier rather than disconnecting the battery.Our Falcon 2 is a motor home mounted tow bar, which means that it's going to go directly into the receiver tube of the hitch on our motor home. We're not going to have to worry about a ball mount or a coupler in order to get it hooked up.On the other end, where our tow bar's going to hook into our truck, it's going to work with all Roadmaster baseplates, whether you have the direct connect style like we have here, or if you have the crossbar style, it's going to work with both of those.Now the Falcon 2 is going to work with other baseplates as well, like Demco and Blue Ox, with an adapter that is sold separately, and you can find those adapters here at etrailer.com.And the way it's going to hook up to our truck is going to be extremely easy. We're going to have a pin and clip, so we can remove our pin, we can pull out the large pin, and then the arm's just going to slide right out, and you can see we just slide it back in. more

For your complete flat tow setup on your 2016 GMC Canyon, we'll be using SMI Stay-in-Play Duo supplemental braking system, Roadmaster's direct connect base plate kit, Roadmaster's diode wiring kit, Roadmaster's automatic battery disconnect, Roadmaster's stoplight switch kit, Roadmaster's Falcon All-Terrain Non-Binding tow bars, Roadmaster's 64 inch single hook safety cables.This tow bar from Roadmaster will allow you to haul your vehicle behind your motor. It gives you the necessary connection that you'll need to connect the two together, as well as pivot in and out to allow you to properly drive and turn while hauling it behind you.What sets these apart from other tow bars is that it's non-binding. The levers located here on each arm will help free up the arm. If you're having a difficult time getting it disconnected from your base plate, binding can occur if you're parked on any uneven road surfaces that can place a twist in one component versus the other. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Nighthawk all terrain non-binding tow bar with LED lights, part number RM-676.Here's what our Roadmaster Nighthawk tow bar looks like. Now, the first thing you're gonna notice that's gonna set it apart from other ones, is the integrated LED lights that are built into the arms. Now, this is not only gonna illuminate it, making it easier for us to see what we're doing if it is dark, but it's also gonna let people know that you are flat towing a vehicle, illuminating the area between your vehicle and the motor home.Now, it's still gonna serve the same purpose as all the other tow bars. It's gonna allow us to hook up our motor home and safely and securely pull our truck down the road.The tow bar is gonna slide directly into the two inch by two inch receiver tube opening on our motor home, so we're not gonna have to worry about having a ball mount or any other accessory to hook it up.Now, on the vehicle side, our tow bar is gonna work with the MX, MS, and EZ5 base plates, and it's gonna come with the necessary pins and clips to get everything attached. The telescoping arms are gonna make it a lot easier to hook up, giving us a large hookup radius so we don't have to be directly behind the motor home.If you've ever flat towed a vehicle before, you'll know that if you're not perfectly behind the motor home or on perfectly level ground, the tow bar can get into a bind, making it a lot harder to unhook. Well, our tow bar here has a non-binding design, so we just simply pull on this lever if it was in a bind, and release a lot of that tension, making it a lot easier to unhook.Now, the tar bar itself is an aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish that not only is gonna look nice, but it's gonna give us a long-lasting durability. more

Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar Installation - 2017 GMC Terrain- Video

Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 GMC Terrain, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Non-Binding Tow Bar with LED lights, part number RM-676. Here's what our Nighthawk looks like connecting our RV to our Terrain. A nice feature of the Nighthawk is it does include an integrated electrical cable that's going to go through the channel nicely and protect it. As well as two safety cables to connect your car and your RV.Now, Roadmaster is the first one to come out with an integrated LED light strip on either side of their tow bar, illuminating the area in between your towed vehicle and your RV. Our arms here are going to telescope out, locking into a rigid position, giving us a nice, sturdy platform to tow our Terrain.Now, if we've ever flat towed a vehicle before, I know that we've ran into a situation where the tow bar will get into a bind and it makes it extremely difficult to get it out. Now, that's what I really like about the Nighthawk here is that these levers on either side of our arm, it's going to take away some of that tension. more

RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar Installation - 2015 GMC Terrain- Video

Today on our 2015 GMC Terrain we'll be taking a look at installing the Road Master Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part number RM-520. The Falcon tail bar features two stainless steel inter arm construction and a convenient auto-lock locking mechanism and quick disconnect for effortless one person removal and mounting. These tail bars allow you to safely and effectively tow your vehicle behind your RV. Now we have our tow bar adapter that gets mounted to the vehicle and you hook your tow bar to that. This vehicle has quick disconnect arms, and the Falcon 2 features quick disconnect brackets that allows you to keep using this quick disconnect arms. First, we need to install this. I'll undo the pin here on top and undo the bracket. more
